Services for Mike Koonce, 68, of Lindale, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, August 27, 2021, at Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery.
Mr. Koonce passed away August 24, 2021, at his home in Lindale. He was born November 8, 1952, in Fruitvale, to Mac Richard & Linnie Marie Oliver Koonce. Mike graduated from Grand Saline High School, Class of 1972. He spent all his life in Grand Saline before moving to Lindale 3 years ago. He was a member of Sand Flat Baptist Church, Grand Saline Masonic Lodge #1269, and the Van Zandt County Country Club. Mr. Koonce owned & operated KW Meat Co. in Grand Saline for many years and had been a salesman for Action Cleaning Systems the last 20 years. He loved playing golf and was an avid poker player. He loved his Wednesday night poker gathering. Mike enjoyed his job and loved his family dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 47 years, Linda Neal Koonce; and four brothers, Charlie, Joyce, Richard, and Ricky.
Survivors include his son, Heath Koonce and wife Anna of Lindale; daughter, Meghan Renicker and husband Rob of Tyler; five grandchildren, Hannah, Sara, and Izzy Koonce, and Robby and Jocelyn Renicker; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Donny Koonce, Brian Brown, Darrell Neal, Brady Brown, Brandon Brown, Brice Brown, Michael Neal, Matthew Neal, Dale Welch, and David Monty.

The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home.
