Services for Sue LaPrade, 67, of Fruitvale, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Lawrence Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Steven Swaim officiating.
Interment will follow at Creagleville Cemetery.
Ms. LaPrade passed away February 5, 2014 in Dallas. She was born March 25, 1946 in Grand Saline to Jimmie Lee and Maudie Fay Herron LaPrade. She was a lifelong resident of Fruitvale, owned and operated Sue’s Beauty Shop in Grand Saline for 37 years. Sue was an Eastern Star and previously received the “Pioneer Award” at the Grand Saline Chamber of Commerce Banquet. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jimmy Ray LaPrade; one brother-in-law, Allen Hall; and two nephews, Mark Hall and David Hall.
Survivors include one brother, Roy Lee LaPrade and wife Marsha of Fruitvale; three sisters, Jo Ann Hall of Wills Point, Clela Batchelor and husband James of Grand Saline, and Linda Kindle and husband Buddy of Fruitvale; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be John Currey, Chad LaPrade, Jason LaPrade, Jim LaPrade, Cody Clark, Brent Batchelor, Damon Watson, and Jake Hall.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday at Bartley Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Creagleville Cemetery.
