Mr. Lee passed away November 27, 2012 at his home. He was born February 12, 1931 in Snyder, OK to Hubert Oliver & Mary Ethel McElroy Lee. He served in the US Army and had been self-employed since 1961. He owned/operated Lee Tree Farm since 1983. He was a member of Main Street Baptist Church since 1974 where he served as a Deacon since 1975 and was a member of the Rejoicers Sunday School Class. He was a coordinator on the design and construction of the Education & office facility at Main Street and also at Faith Baptist Church. He led Borderland Mission Group for several years and traveled with VCB building churches throughout the U. S. for 8 years. He was a member of Gideons International since 1961. Prior to 1961 he was employed by Texaco Oil Refinery in their chemical lab. H. Carroll had been an ordained Deacon in several Baptist churches since 1955. He was a builder and a planter. For over a decade, he built structures that endure today. He built truths into the hearts of those around him by living his faith actively working with Gideons to distribute God’s Word. At the end of his life, he built churches, using his own hands to create spaces where God’s people could be born into faith and that faith fed. H. Carroll was a planter for over two decades. His hands, eyes and heart learned lessons about God’s absolute truth that he was quick to pass on to the many people God brought into his path. Like the trees, he watched display their greatest beauty after hardship, his own life reflected only deeper faith in the face of trials. Though he worked hard, free time was dedicated to mission work both here and in Mexico. When we remember him, we thank God for the firm foundation of faithfulness he left us on which to build and the seeds of truth he planted.
