Eugene Lennon

YANTIS – Funeral services for Eugene Lennon, 80, of Yantis, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home Chapel, Alba, with Bro. Byron George officiating.
Burial will be in Yantis City Cemetery, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Mr. Lennon passed away Monday, July 10, 2017, in Quitman.
He was born Saturday, October 3, 1936, in Wood County, to the late Ernest Sullivan and Dinber Ellege Lennon. He married Ella Mae Fitzgerald on March 31, 1956, in Hopkins County. He then married Joyce Elizabeth Sanders on March 20, 1985. He lived in the Yantis area most of his life. He was a painter and served in the Army. Eugene was a member of the Yantis Masonic Lodge #382 and of Lake Fork Baptist Church, Alba.
Survivors include his special friend of 15 years, Pearl Bennett of Yantis; daughter, Sylvia Petty of Yantis; four grandchildren, Amy Henderson, Jarred Hooker, JoLisa Mendiaz, and Amber Dickerson; and nine great-grandchildren, Hannah, William, Garrett, Christian, Sean, Caleb, Braden, Haley, and Emma.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce Elizabeth Sanders Lennon; son, Rockey Lennon; brother, Alvin Lennon; sisters, Geneva Brewster and Lazell Jeanette; son-in-law, Elston Petty; and grandson, Rockey Brian Lennon.
Pallbearers will be Billy Parker, Autrey Burgess, Tim Crabb, Roger Lennon, Scott Lennon, Keith Lennon, and Rocky Hooker.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home.
