Mr. Thornton Dale Leutzinger, Sr., 82, of Grand Saline, passed away January 19, 2015, at a Tyler hospice facility. He was born December 8, 1932 in Pevely, Missouri, to Robert & Josephine Dickermann Leutzinger. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and worked as a machinist. Mr. Leutzinger is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 40 years, Gladys “Yitty” Wehmyer Leutzinger; and seven brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his son, Thornton Dale Leutzinger, Jr. of South Carolina; daughter and son-in-law, Sara & Joe Burlbaugh of Grand Saline; two brothers, Walter Luetzinger of Festus, MO and John Leutzinger of Crystal City, MO; grandchild, Tiffany Ruegsegger; and three great-grandchildren, Clayton, Lindsay and Alyssa.
Funeral services were private.
