Services for Cora Lewellen, 84, of Fruitvale, are scheduled for 10 am, Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Bartley Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Edgewood.
Mrs. Lewellen passed away January 24, 2017. She was born June 14, 1932 in Grand Saline to Clarence and Pebbles McWilliams LaPrade. Cora lived most of her life in Irving before moving to Fruitvale in 1995. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Euless, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Irene LaPrade; husband, George Lewellen; son, Clay Lewellen; two brothers, Buck LaPrade and Ed LaPrade; two sisters, Christine Lewellen and Betty Jones.
Mrs. Lewellen is survived by her son, Harold Lewellen of Grand Prairie; daughter, Debbie Martin and husband Roy of Fruitvale; sister, Freda Jordan of Fruitvale; five grandchildren, Jody Bennett, Terry Martin, Michael Martin, Katie Lewellen, and Becky Lewellen; five great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jody Bennett, Terry Martin, Robert Jordan, Rick LaPrade, Bobby, Gatlin, Mark LaPrade, Rustan Lewellen, and Rustan Gaskey.
