Linda Jean Pianalto (Ruzicka)

Services for Linda Jean Ruzicka Pianalto, 79, of Sulphur Springs, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Dr. Zach Tunnell officiating.

Interment will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Alba.

Mrs. Pianalto passed away September 7, 2026, in Sulphur Springs. Linda was born September 21, 1946, in Columbus, Ohio, to George and Annabelle Mertz Ruzicka. She married the love of her life, Duane Pianalto, on January 17, 1976, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they shared 50 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, laughter, family, and countless memories.

About a year ago, Linda and Duane moved from Royse City to the Sulphur Springs area, beginning a new chapter of their life together.

Linda was a member of the First Baptist Church in Murphy. She was a woman who found joy in the simple things. She loved playing card games, watching game shows, and traveling. She had a special way of enjoying time spent with the people she loved, and her family meant everything to her. Her dog, Jax, was also a very special part of her life and brought her tremendous companionship and happiness.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George Ruzicka; and sister, Sharon Crain.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Duane Pianalto of Sulphur Springs; son, Scott Anthony Ekwall and wife Sharon of Allen; stepson, Danny Pianalto and wife Mary Kay of Atoka, Oklahoma; stepdaughter, Tracy Clark and husband Terry of Alba; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 1 p.m., Wednesday, before the service.
