Lois Pearl Sanders (Williams)

Graveside services for Lois Pearl Williams Sanders, 84, of Gilmer, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, July 31, 2026, at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, with Chaplain Robert Stovall officiating, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.

Mrs. Sanders passed away July 26, 2026, in Tyler. She was born May 13, 1942, in Alba, to J.C. and Mary Jane Lynch Williams. Lois grew up in Alba and was a member of First Baptist Church of Alba. She later lived in Dallas before moving to Ft. Worth in 1969. For 38 years, she worked at River Oaks Nursing Home in Fort Worth, where she found great joy in caring for the residents. Lois enjoyed spending time at home, but above all, she cherished her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Jay Sanders; brothers, Pete and Clarence; sister, Ruth; and infant daughter, Patsy.

Survivors include her two sisters, Dorothy Gonzales and Barbara Meagley.

The family will receive friends 1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m., Friday, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
