The following services will be held by the family and friends of Mrs. Janet Martin.
Memorial services for Janet Wright Martin, 77, of Alba, will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Amazing Grace Fellowship Church in Alba. Pastor Byron George will officiate.
Interment will be scheduled later at Old Salem Cemetery, Alba.
Janet Martin was born on May 11, 1944, in Alba, Texas, to the late John Alton Wright and Ruby Lou Sherwood. She died Friday, October 8, 2021, at Hospice of East Texas, Tyler.
Janet was a lifelong resident of Alba. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, a seamstress, a hairdresser, and a homemaker.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 45 years, C.B. Martin, Jr.; her son, Trey Martin; and two brothers, Ferrell Wright and Ronnie Wright.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Ronny Gaby of Alba; stepdaughter, Marie Johns of Lubbock; granddaughter, Jamie Boyd of Brashear; grandson, David Johns of Lubbock; great-grandchildren, Jameson Boyd and Scarlet Boyd of Brashear; one brother, John Wright, Jr. of Golden; sisters, Martha Hines of Alba and Lara and Floyd Kent of Golden.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of East Texas.
