Services for James Martinez, 22 of Van, are scheduled for 3 p.m., Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Roundflat Pentecostal Church with Bro. Homer Morgan officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Mr. Martinez passed away March 25, 2012. He was born February 28, 1990 in Lincoln Park, Michigan to Ralph & Laura Ann McBride Martinez. He spent most all of his life in Van. He worked for Southwest Floor – Carpet One in Tyler. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elida Martinez.
Survivors include his fiancé, Avery Martinez of Van; parents, Ralph & Laura Martinez of Van; son, Brayden Martinez of Van; daughter, Miyah Martinez of Van; brother, Ralph Ramon Martinez of Van; sister, Santana Martinez of Van; grandparents, Alice Herrera of Van and James Hale of Grand Saline and Ramon Martinez of Ecorse, MI.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Cooper, Justin Landreau, Elia Britt, Drake Andrews, Adam Sides, Ralph Martinez Jr., Ralph Martinez and Brandon Beval.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday and Saturday at the funeral home.
