Mary Anna Pierce (Wear)

Mary Anna Wear Pierce, 81, of Mineola, passed away December 27, 2025, in Mineola. She was born on April 14, 1944, in Denver, Colorado, to Ralph Ealvis and Anna Faye Plummer Wear. On May 28, 1966, she married the love of her life, Robert Marion Pierce, in San Diego, California. They shared 59 years of marriage and made their home in Wood County for 40 years. Mary Anna was a devoted member of Sand Springs Baptist Church in Mineola. She loved sewing, crocheting, and spending time playing games with friends on Tuesdays at the church. The family requests that memorials be made to the Sand Springs Baptist Church Sew & Sew Ladies. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Pierce; two brothers, Ken Wear and Ricky Wear; and a great-grandson, Jerray.

Survivors include her two sons, Jeramy Pierce and wife Yvonne of Mineola and Shane Pierce and wife Leslie of Mineola; daughter, Rebekah Spann and husband Donovan of Mineola; two brothers, Roy Wear and wife Carol of Houston and Warren Wear and wife Tonya of Rhode Island; sister, Nadine Lawton and husband Jeff of Rhode Island; seven grandchildren, Robert Pierce, Rachel Haney, Crystal Pierce, Taylor Ihlenfeldt, Ethan Pierce, Lacie Spann, and Lydia Spann; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A memorial service honoring Mrs. Pierce is scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Sand Springs Baptist Church, Mineola, with Bro. Jeramy Pierce officiating, under the direction of the church and family.
