Chlota Mathews

Chlota Lee Mathews, 87, Mineola, passed away peacefully at her home and went to be with the Lord, August 2, 2018. She was born in Grand Saline, June 6, 1931, to Bertha and Uly Waymire.
Mrs. Mathews was preceded in death by the love of her life, Claude F. Mathews after a long and wonderful marriage of 65 years. Sons, Larry W. Mathews, Kenneth L. Mathews, and grandson, Dylan Cagle also preceded her in death. Chlota Lee was a lifelong homemaker and a loving and devoted mother to her children.
Survivors include her oldest daughter, Vickie Mathews, youngest daughter and son-in-law, Cindy & Doug Hawkins; daughter-in-law, Debra Mathews, all of Mineola; brother, Jerry Waymire of Terrell; granddaughter, Sandy Boone; and several great-grandchildren of Alvarado.
The family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice employees for their love, care and support.
