Richard Matlock

Richard Dean Matlock, 62, passed away June 15, 2022, at his residence in Grand Saline. He was born September 2, 1959, in Paris, to J.W. and Windle Nadine McFatridge Matlock. He spent his early years in Pleasant Grove and had lived the last 20 plus years in Grand Saline. Richard was known for his skateboarding skills in Pleasant Grove and on Buckner Blvd. He loved to fish and sold honey and little wooden chairs all over the community of Grand Saline. He is preceded in death by his mother; Windle Hill; and son, Richard Shane Jackson.

Survivors include his fiancée, Kaytrilla Ellison of Grand Saline; father, J.W. “Dub” Matlock of Blossum; son, Joey Fulps and wife Miranda of Kaufman; sister, Sheila Forrester and husband Carl of Lakeland, Florida; half-brother, Robbie Matlock of Blossom; half-sister, Neila Davidson and husband Chad of Blossom; four grandchildren, Colton, Cason, Tanner, and Abby; one great-grandchild, Ethan; and caretaker, Kathy Chitty.
