Matthew Clifford Green

Funeral services for Mr. Matthew Clifford Green, 65, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Bartley Funeral Home, with John Villareal and Larry Shelton officiating.

Interment will follow in Woodside Cemetery.

Mr. Green passed away February 17, 2026, in Grand Saline. He was born March 13, 1960 in Grand Saline to Clifford Eugene “Buster” and Joy Clower Green. Matthew was a lifelong resident of Grand Saline where he graduated from GSHS, Class of 1978. He was a member of Broadstreet Church of Christ in Mineola, and worked for Texas Walls in Alba for 35 years. Matthew was an avid Texas Longhorn and NASCAR fan, and loved going to see his grandkids play ball. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Clifford Green; and brother, Mark Green.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy Green of Grand Saline; son, Jacob Green and wife Jasmine of Grand Saline; step-daughter, Whitley Hill of Grand Saline; brother, Michael Green of Grand Saline; nephew, Chad Green of Longview; five grandchildren, Jasper Green, Judson Green, Cayden Green, Ayden Hill, and Paisley Hill; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Garrett, Mark Swain, Jacob Green, Ayden Hill, Justin Price, and Chad Green.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jasper Green, Judson Green, Cayden Green, Michael Green, and Lynn Neal.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
