Services for Lynda Motes McFerren, 73, of Emory, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, June 29, 2020, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Andy Clower officiating.
Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.
Mrs. McFerren passed away June 24, 2020, in Greenville. She was born July 18, 1946, to Lorenzo Calloway & Minnie English Motes. Lynda grew up in Quitman and married Carl McFerren, August 13, 1963, in Wood Co. They lived in the Lake Fork area for over 30 years. She loved gardening and proudly enjoyed the title of "Yard of the Month" in her neighborhood several times over the years. Mrs. McFerren was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patsy Bowden; and husband of 55 years, Carl McFerren.
Survivors include her son, Scott McFerren & wife Christy of Pittsburg; two daughters, Elizabeth Clower and husband Chuck of Grand Saline and Missy McFerren of Emory; five grandchildren, Andy & Jessie Clower, Abby & Josh Self, Kinsey McFerren, Tanner McFerren and Avery Byrum; four great-grandchildren, Ella Clower, Henry Clower, Mason Self and Maddox Self; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at 1 p.m., Monday, June 29, 2020, at the funeral home.
