Faye Mcgee

Services for Faye Marie Darnell McGee, 92, of Newberg, Oregon, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline, with Bro. David Crain officiating.

Interment will follow in Woodside Cemetery.

Mrs. McGee passed away May 22, 2023, in Newberg, Oregon. She was born June 19, 1930, in Grand Saline, Texas. She was raised in the Providence area of Van Zandt County and then Iowa where she graduated from high school in Cedar Rapids. As an adult, Faye lived in East Texas for many years and Florida for 35 years before moving to Newberg, Oregon in 2020. She loved to cook, garden, cross-stitch, read, play 42, and spend time with her family especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. McGee was preceded in death by her mother, Ernestine McCullough; her father, Frank Darnell; three husbands, MB Burk, Dean Gilbert, and Joe McGee; infant son, Richard Burk; son, Rocky Burk; stepson, Stony Burk; three sisters; and one brother.

Survivors include two sons, Terry Veal of Newberg, Oregon and Ron Burk and wife Joyce of Pace, Florida, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Shad Beck, Duane Burk, David Kahl, Danny Klink, Anthony Stone, and Hana Veal.

Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice.

The family will receive friends 10 a.m., Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the funeral home.
