Services for Joann McKnight, 65 of Fruitvale, are scheduled for¬¬ 10 a.m., Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Caney Creek Cowboy Church with Bro. Bill Polley officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Interment will be in Morris Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Joann McKnight, 65 of Fruitvale, passed away December 21, 2011 in Tyler. She was born August 13, 1946 in Atlanta to Joseph & Kathryn Smith Nunn. She spent her early years in Mesquite before moving to Fruitvale 12 years ago. She worked as a technician and was Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Nunn; her husband, Charlie McKnight; son, Steven Franks; and brother, Richard Nunn.
Survivors include her mother, Kathryn Nunn of Mesquite; son, Richard Franks and wife Andie of Fruitvale; two brothers, Buddy Nunn and Joey Nunn of Tennessee; three sisters, Sherry Capps and husband Richard of Garland, Lisa Roberts and husband Randy of Frisco, and Kathy Nunn of Mesquite; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and dear friend, Debra Littlejohn of Fruitvale.
Pallbearers will be Dewey Fowler, Cody Blassingame, Jim Davis, Randy Littlejohn, Eric Duncan, Jackie Scott, Adam Scott and Joe Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lena Scott, Merrie Fowler, Christina Fowler, Gary Fowler, Gabrille Fowler and Kevin Fowler.
