Services for Courtney Nikole McLain, 41, of Edgewood, are scheduled for 1 p.m., Monday, October 3, 2022, at New Journey Church of God, with Pastor Chuck Hinton and Bro. Jason Cole officiating.
Interment will follow in Creagleville Cemetery, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Ms. McLain passed away September 26, 2022, in Balch Springs. She was born June 5, 1981, in Greenville. She lived in Van Zandt County all her life where she was a mother, first and foremost, and strong in her Christian faith. She was a member of New Journey Church of God, in Edgewood, and was COO of JCD HR Consulting Services. Courtney was a CNA, CMA, Wellness Director, and a corporate HR Director for many years. She was also in the process of authoring a book. Courtney was preceded in death by her grandparents, Grady Fikes, and T.G. & Nell McLain.
Survivors include her mother, Robin Fedrick of Edgewood; father, Gary McLain and wife Sue of San Jose, CA; grandma, Sylvia Fikes, Grand Saline; four daughters, Kyli McLain of Tyler, Hanna Barron of Edgewood, Ryanne Walters of Edgewood, and Makayla Walters of Tyler; son at heart, Luke Masterson of Tyler; brother, Alex Fedrick and wife Ashley of Garland; sister, Holley Connors and husband Corey of Clayton, CA and their children, Riley & Caitlin; beloved dog, Pigeon; cat, Mr. Kitty; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Michael Barron, Scott Walters, Christopher Bird, Derek Hurst, Alex Fedrick, and Corey Connors.
Memorials may be made in memory of Courtney to the American Diabetes Association, diabetes.org/honor, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Stjude.org.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Sunday, October 2, 2022, at the funeral home.
