Mary Mcvey

Mrs. Mary Helen Hill McVey, 90, of Quitman, formerly of Alba, passed away September 21, 2020, in Quitman. She was born November 25, 1929, in Girard, Kansas, to Willard M. and Ida Bell Palmer Hill. On August 15, 1947, she married Noel Donovan McVey in Girard, Kansas. Together, they moved to Texas in 1972, and made Alba their home. Mary loved to bowl, attend church, and was a member of a church quilting club. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 57 years, Don McVey; son, Patrick McVey; and infant great-granddaughter, Jenna.

Survivors include her son, Michael McVey and wife Patsy of Butler, Missouri; daughter, Lorna Tucker and husband Larry of Quitman; sister, Wilma Pulliam of Girard, Kansas; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

The family will be planning a memorial service at a later date.
