Lee Mercer

Services for Lee Roy Mercer, 78, of Alba, are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 23, 2020, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Byron George officiating.

Mr. Mercer passed away July 20, 2020, in Van. He was born March 27, 1942, to Dick and Ethel Lee Edwards Mercer. Lee Roy lived most of his life in Wood County and was a farmer. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ferry Ray Palmer; daughter, Rebecca Shaw; and two sons, Jesse Dewain Mercer and William Lee Mercer.

Survivors include one son, Jonathan Mercer of Dallas; two daughters, Ethel Mercer of Taneyville, Missouri and Deanna Mercer of Dallas; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two great-great granddaughters; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home in Alba.
