Mr. Michael Derwin Pollard, 71, of Greenville, passed away on May 21, 2026, in Rowlett. He was born on January 7, 1955, in Dallas, Texas, to Frank Otto Pollard, Jr. and Mary Lois Walter Leard.
Michael graduated from Mesquite High School in 1973 and spent most of his life in the Greenville area. He enjoyed playing poker, pool, and card games, and had a passion for racing cars, attending auctions, and visiting garage sales. Michael owned and operated a landscaping business for many years. On June 4, 2022, he married Melinda Renee “Mindy” Fry in Rockwall.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Brenda Lance and Mary Denise Smith; and one brother, Frank DeWayne Pollard.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mindy Pollard of Greenville; two sons, Casey Pollard and wife Courtney of Rockwall, and Dalton Watkins and wife Bianca of Midlothian; three daughters, Tonya Saxby and husband Jeremy of Greenville, Kelli Rice and husband Kennedy of Greenville, and Kendra Phelps of Greenville; one brother, Ricky Pollard of Rowlett; two sisters, Lisa Pollard of Terrell and Jamie Newell and husband Jim of Colorado; nine grandchildren, Cason, Carter, Ian, Jayden, River, Kaytlynn, Dorian, Cambria, and Belle; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will have a memorial service honoring Mike 2 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the Lone Oak Civic Center, with Derrell Barksdale officiating.
