Preston Moore Sr

Services for Preston Moore, Sr., 78, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 1p.m., Saturday, November 21, 2020, at New Horizons Assembly of God, Grand Saline, with Bro. Jim Atkins and Bro. Randy Fisher officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Haven of Memories Memorial Park, Canton.
Mr. Roy Preston Moore, Sr., passed away November 17, 2020, in Grand Saline. He was born January 9, 1942, in Freeport to Robert C. and Marcia Lee Campbell Moore. Preston spent most of his life in Grand Saline, where he was a member of New Horizons Assembly of God. Preston was also a member of the Grand Saline Volunteer Fire Department and his camping group, “Apple Dumplin Gang.” After his retirement from LTV and Tyler Pipe, Preston owned and operated Moore’s Repair Service where he serviced small appliances.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 45 years Patricia Russell Moore; in-laws J.C. and Dude Russell; brothers-in-law, O.C. Herrin and Butch Koonce; and “Toots.”
Survivors include one son Preston Moore, Jr. and wife Ronda of Grand Saline; two daughters Pam Moore of Grand Saline, and Paula Teague and husband John of Grand Saline; one brother Larry Moore and wife Nan of Tyler; two sisters-in-law Barbara Russell Herrin and Judy Russell Alphin and husband Jack; one brother-in-law Carroll “Buddy” Russell and wife Linda; eight grandchildren Chad Moore, Chasity Peiffer, Kadi Summerville, Blake Teague, Brittany Ortiz, D.J. Dickson, Harlie Moore, and Jacob Moore; twelve great-grandchildren; lifelong friend Jerry “Red” Bolin; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Chad Moore, Blake Teague, D.J. Dickson, Jacob Moore, Phillip Ortiz, Shane Koonce, Shawn Koonce, Gerald Bolin, and Bub Bolin.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Papa’s great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the New Horizons Assembly of God 200 N. Houston St., Grand Saline, Texas 75140
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2020 at Bartley Funeral Home.
