Bob Murphy

Memorial services for Bob Murphy, 80, Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Roundflat Pentecostal Church with Bro. Homer Morgan and Bro. Eddie Paul Stanley officiating.
Mr. Murphy passed away May 2, 2019, in Grand Saline. He was born January 17, 1939, in Daingerfield, to Isaac & Lilly Gibbs Murphy. He lived most of his life in Van Zandt County where he was a member of Roundflat Pentecostal Church. He retired from Garland Fire Department as a Captain after 29 1/2 years of service. Bob also served many years with Fruitvale Water Board and Edgewood Water Works. He enjoyed traveling and camping and he had baled hay and raised cattle for many years. Mr. Murphy is preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Esther Robinson and Patricia.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Murphy of Grand Saline; three sons, Mike Murphy of Tyler, Matt Murphy of Houston and Jim Murphy of Edgewood; daughter, Lisa Crouch of Mesquite; stepson, Heath Snow of Grand Saline; and stepdaughter, Christy Wood of Grand Saline; brother, Billy Murphy of Marietta; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends.
