ALBA – Services for Yvonne Maxine Newton, 80, of Melissa, formerly of Princeton, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home chapel, Alba, with Rev. Troy Keathley officiating.
Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Alba.
Mrs. Newton passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014, in a McKinney nursing home.
She was born Saturday, September 8, 1934, in Oklahoma, to the late Oscar Maxwell and Bonnie Jewel Boutwell Cleveland. She married Billy Ray Newton March 23, 1951, in Monahans. She had lived most of her life in Collin County and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her sons, Guy Ray Newton, Plano, and Gary Dean Newton and wife Vicky of Melissa; daughters, Brenda Gail Brown and husband Alvin of Princeton, Lisa Newton of Mississippi; sisters, Joyce Williams and husband Harvey of Azle, and Mary Alice Barnett and husband Rodney of Trinity; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Mary Lynn Newton; sister, Peggy Lou Miller; and brothers, George Cleveland, Charles Cleveland, David Cleveland, and Tommy Cleveland.
