Norma Jean Boswell

Graveside services for Norma Jean Lemley Boswell, 83, of Mineola, are scheduled for 1 p.m., Thursday, November 5, 2026, at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Alba, with Chaplain Robert Stovall officiating, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.

Mrs. Boswell passed away on October 28, 2026, in Quitman, leaving behind a family who loved her dearly and countless memories to cherish.

Norma was born on July 6, 1943, in Lake Village, Arkansas, to Silas Clyde and Pauline Brown Lemley. She had called Mineola home for the past 60 years and attended Providence Baptist Church. On May 10, 1957, she married Ray Boswell in Texarkana, beginning a life together that spanned 46 years and built a family that remained the heart of her world.

Norma enjoyed trying her luck at the casinos, cheering on her beloved Dallas Cowboys, and curling up with a good book on her tablet. But more than anything, Norma loved her family. Her children and grandchildren brought her immeasurable joy, and her grandchildren, especially, held a very special place in her heart. They were the center of her world, and the time she spent with them was among her greatest blessings.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 46 years, Ray Boswell; her son, Bobby Boswell; and her brother, Wayne Lemley.

Survivors include her son, Ray Boswell of Mineola; her daughters, Julie Patrick and husband Chris of Mineola, Stacie Lilley and husband Richard of Mineola, and Lisa Crumley and John Rupe of Hawkins; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Cody Boswell, Ethan Penn, Billy Adams, John Rupe, Richard Lilley, Eric Clanton, and Chris Patrick.
