Ma Amalia Paredes

Mass services for Ma Amalia Paredes, 57 of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2013 at St. Celestine Catholic Church with Father Victor Hernandez officiating.
Interment will follow in Woodside Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Paredes passed away March 19, 2013 in Tyler. She was born March 16, 1956 in Apaseo El Alto, Guanajuato, Mexico to J. Soledad & Herminia Rodriguez Mendoza. She spent most of her life in Apaseo El Alto before moving to Grand Saline 9 years ago. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Roberto Mendoza.
Survivors include her husband, Salvador Paredes of Grand Saline; two sons, Salvador Paredes of Grand Saline and Juan Carlos Paredes of Mineola; seven daughters, Rosalva Paredes of Mexico, Amalia Paredes of Mexico, Maria Guadalupe of Mexico, Maricela Paredes of Grand Saline, Ana Lilia Paredes of Grand Saline, Claudia Rocio of Grand Saline and Cecilia Paredes of Grand Saline; six brothers, Soledad, Ruben, Jesus, Ezequiel, Uriel and Felipe Mendoza; four sisters, Carmen, Guillermina, M. Guadalupe and Martha Mendoza; fourteen grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Rosary service will be held at 5 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
