ALBA – Services for Ruby Taylor Partney, 81, of Alba, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home Chapel, Alba, with Bro. Clinnon Cole officiating.
Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Alba, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Partney passed away Friday, March 24, 2017, in a Tulsa, Oklahoma hospital.
She was born Wednesday, January 22, 1936, in Alba, to Edgar N. and Lavernia McGahee Taylor. She married Charles Richard Partney on March 27, 2007, in Latimer County, Oklahoma. Ruby was a self-employed entrepreneur. She lived most of her life in Wood County and lived the last 17 years in Wilburton, Oklahoma.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Partney of Wilburton, OK; sons, Charles Edward Ross of Alba and Eddie Ray Ross of Alba; daughters, Linda Reed-Hurley of Mineola, Brenda and husband, Billy Dotson of Kaufman, and Donna Jean Ross of Rising Star; step-sons, Travis Partney of Denver, CO and Matt Thompson of Longview; a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James E. (Buddy) Taylor; sisters, Mollie Baker-Toon, Dorothy Swindell-Hunter, Joyce Ann Henson, Johnnie Sue Bellomy; son, infant Charles Ross, Jr; and daughters, infant Charlotte Ann Ross and Yvonne Glasscock.
Pallbearers will be Randy Carter, Gerald Walker, Jerrod Morgan, Neal Baker, Clint Cotten, and Micheal Henson.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
