Services for Leland Joshua “Booger” Peters, 11, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, September 30, 2022, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Homer Morgan and Sis. Delana Wheeler officiating.
Leland passed away September 24, 2022, in Dallas. He was born March 16, 2011, in Athens to Gary Wayne & Shelly Russell Peters. Leland spent all his life in Grand Saline where he was attending 5th grade and a member of “Just as I Am Fellowship”. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Garry Peters, and Bobby Whitaker, and uncle, Jerry Peters.
Survivors include his parents, Gary Peters and Shelly Peters of Grand Saline; grandparents, Sandra Whitaker of Grand Saline, Debra & Lynn Cason of Grand Saline, and Donald Miller of Wylie; four brothers, Daniel Tellez of Frisco, J. T. Brown and wife Sam of Mineola, Trevor Peters of Mesquite, and Aidan Freeman of Grand Saline; four sisters, Leslie Tellez of Gainesville, Skylar Freeman of Grand Saline, Morgan Freeman of Grand Saline, and Madison Peters of Mesquite; three aunts, Christina Peters and husband Gary Pinfield of Quitman, Donna Moore of Wylie and Sunshine Kirk of Dallas; six uncles, Michael Speers and wife Jessica of Hammond, LA, Robert Russell and wife Tammy of Edgewood, Tommy Russell and wife Susan of Ardmore, OK, Daniel Ellison of Grand Saline, Johnny Stone of Grand Saline, and James Holley of Grand Saline; great-uncle, Billy Brown of Grand Saline; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Ellison, Chris Adams, Johnny Stone, and Shane Burge.
The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home.
