Linda Phillips

Memorial services for Linda Carol Taylor Phillips, 80, of Lone Oak, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Pastor Reggie Day officiating.

Mrs. Phillips passed away November 12, 2023, at her residence in Lone Oak. She was born February 3, 1943, in Temple, to Paul E. Taylor and Minnie Louise Bankston Taylor Bagley. Linda lived in Alba and Irving, before moving to Lone Oak. Her greatest joys in life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a lifelong animal lover, always had dogs and cats and occasionally other small critters. She has always enjoyed the outdoors; working in the garden, walking and exploring and just sitting enjoying the sun on her face. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John W. Phillips; son, John Paul Phillips; and son-in-law, Mark McCain.

Survivors include her son, David Phillips and wife Tracey of Lone Oak; daughter, Billie McCain of Alba; two brothers, Jimmy Taylor and Bonnie Taylor both of Rogers; three sisters, Ramona Phillips of Kaufman, Paula Moltke and husband David of Rowlett, and Preble Polk and husband Calvin of Rosebud; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
