Opal Phillips

Services for Opal Phillips, 93, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Sunday, February 4, 2018, at Bartley Funeral Home with Steve Weeks officiating.
Burial will be in Colony Cemetery.
Mrs. Phillips passed away February 1, 2018, in Mesquite. She was born April 19, 1924, in Alba to Mitchell Edward & Claudia Amelia Fitzgerald Bryant. She served in the ministry with her husband, G.D. Phillips, for many years in Dallas, Kaufman, Hunt, Rains, Wood and Van Zandt Counties. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 71 years, G.D. Phillips; 2 sons, Kenneth Phillips and George Phillips; daughter, Katherine Phillips; four brothers, Reginald Bryant, Charles Bryant, Emmitt Bryant and LaVoice Bryant; sister, Maureen Henson; and great-granddaughter, Vanessa Reese.
Survivors include her son, John Phillips and wife Lisa of Holly Lake Ranch; three daughters, Maggie Phillips of McKinney, Barbara Phillips of Big Sandy, and Sarah Palmerin and husband Chano of Mesquite; sister, Maxine Lents of Mesquite; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services on Sunday.
