Joyce Pitre

Memorial services for Joyce Ann Austgen Pitre, 79, of Alba, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 22, 2020, at Wilson Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.

Mrs. Pitre passed away August 10, 2020, in Tyler. She was born July 6, 1941, in Muskegon, Michigan to George and Martha Lund Austgen. She moved from Grand Haven, Michigan to Irving, before moving to Wood County in 1974. She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her peacocks, koi fish, draft horses, and numerous other animals in addition to being a Granny. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 48 years, James M. Pitre, Sr; brother, George Austgen; and sister Linda Austgen.

Surviving family includes her son, Robert Arbogast and wife Sherry of Grand Saline; two daughters, Gwen Driskill and Teresa Arbogast of Alba; brother, Mike Austgen and sister, Mary Snyder of Michigan, two grandchildren; Garrett Driskill and wife Heidi, and Katie Ripley and husband Travis; five great-grandchildren; Max, Kylee, Beau, Blakely, and Crew; and numerous other relatives and friends.
