James Edward Pratt
MINEOLA – Services for James Pratt, 90, of Mineola, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Sand Springs Baptist Church, Mineola, under direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Bro. Nick Kerry and Bro. Clint Shuttlesworth officiating.
Burial will be in Pilgrim Rest No. 2 Cemetery, Golden.
Mr. Pratt passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016, in a Mineola Nursing Home.
He was born December 28, 1925, in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Lewis Dewey and Lola Gladys Feagan Pratt. He married Norma Lee Bair on February 8, 1944, in Broken Arrow, OK. He served in the US Navy during WW II on the battleship USS Colorado and worked as a carpenter working in the construction industry. He was a member of College Church of the Nazarene in Olathe, Kansas. He lived in Mineola about a year after moving here from Kansas.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Norma Pratt of Mineola; sons, Jimmy Pratt of Okmulgee, OK, Dennis Pratt of Garnett, KS, and Paul Pratt of Tyler; daughter, Linda Eversoll of Golden; brothers, Fred Pratt of California, Jerry Pratt of Boston, MA, and Don Pratt of Lenexa, KS; sisters, Barbara Walton of Olathe, KS and Delores Plum of Jefferson City, MO; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Evelyn Damore; and infant grand-daughter.
Pallbearers are Paul Pratt, Clint Shuttlesworth, Jimmy Pratt, and Blaine Shuttlesworth.
Visitation will be Friday evening 6-8 at the funeral home.
