GOLDEN – Graveside services for Billy Jack Rhodes, 56, of Golden, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Golden Cemetery, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Lance Kruse officiating.
Mr. Rhodes passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013, in a Tyler hospice facility.
He was born August 1, 1956, in Dallas, where he lived most of his life. He had lived in the Alba-Golden area for 20 years, and was a self-employed plumber.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Rebecca Rhodes Wilt of Golden; sons, Billy Rhodes, Jr. of Hallsville, and Taylor Rhodes and wife Nikki of Jefferson; daughter, Michele Kruse and husband Lance of Golden; 7 grandchildren, Jagger Wright, Jade Kruse, Jett Kruse, Madison Rhodes, Caden Rhodes, Journey Rhodes, and River Rhodes.
He was preceded in death by brother, Eli Juston Abernathy.
Pallbearers are Billy Rhodes, Jr., Taylor Rhodes, Jagger Wright, Lance Kruse, Rick Petersen, and Jesse Martin.
Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at the home of Rebecca Rhodes Wilt, at 620 CR 2935, off FM 779, Alba.
