Donna Kay Rife, 78, of Fruitvale, will be laid to rest along with her son, Kendall Rife, at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 25, 2019, in Creagleville Cemetery with Pastor Susie Wells officiating,
Donna Rife passed away, May 19, 2019, in Fruitvale. She was born September 2, 1940 in Young County to Noah Bee & Beatrice Sadler Lackey. She graduated from Graham High School, Class of 1958. She spent her early years in Loving, several years in Dime Box and the last 40 years in Fruitvale. She was a homemaker and a member of Fruitvale Church of Christ. Mrs. Rife was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Bill Rife; daughter, Cindy Rife Howell; son, Kendall Bee Rife; granddaughter, Ashley Rife; two brothers, Douglas Lackey and James Lackey; and a sister, Virginia Lackey Baker.

Survivors include her son, James Rife of Fruitvale; brother, Junior Lackey of Round Rock; three sisters, Dortha Lackey of Loving, Linda Wells of Abilene, Peggy Damron or Granbury; nine grandchildren, Dennie Thurman Howell III, Jacob Daniel Howell and wife Brandy, John William Howell, Andy Lee Rife, Keri Ethel Rife, Mathew Copeland, Dillan Copeland, Katie Matthews and Cheryl Wilson; seven great-grandchildren, Keyonnie Barnes, Kayden Clemons, Kylie Bailey, Serenity Howell, Jacob Daniel Howell Jr., Teagan Howell and Timber Howell; close friend & caregiver, Micheal Rife Riddle of Fruitvale; friends/running buddies, Christine Heddins and Sylvia Fikes; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Dennie Howell, Jacob Howell, John Howell and Matt Davis.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
