Joe Riggle

Services for Joe Riggle, 83, of Mesquite, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Bartley Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Littlefield officiating.

Interment will follow in Cottonwood Cemetery.

Mr. Riggle passed away February 16, 2014 in Mesquite. He was born November 26, 1930 in Alba to George and Lillie Young Riggle. He spent most of his life in Mesquite and devoted 32 years of service with the Ford Motor Company. He was also a member of the United Auto Workers Union. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jean Riggle; one son, Jackie Riggle; one brother, Lee “Tiny” Riggle; and two sisters, Glenda Anderson and Wanda Kirkland.

Survivors include one son, Randy Riggle of North Richland Hills; one daughter-in-law, Cecelia Riggle of Mesquite; three brothers, Bill Riggle and wife Dorothy of Grand Saline, George “Jr.” Riggle of Arlington, and John Riggle and wife Barbara of Tyler; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers include Jason Riggle, David Riggle, Travis Duncan, Gereal Hogue, Randal Krumdieck, and Chad Elliot.

Honorary pallbearers include Robert Eugene Jones, Kerill Riggle, Kendrick Riggle, Naomi Riggle, Christine Riggle, Carolyn Henderson, Dawn Duncan, and Brandy Riggle.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
