Linda Gail Rilea, 75, of Yantis, Texas, passed away on August 7, 2024. Linda was married to Clyde Rilea, also of Yantis, for 17 years. She was the daughter of Louis and Eunice Collier of New Boston, Texas. Born February 18, 1949, in Alameda, California, she moved to Texas in 1985. An active member of Lake Fork Baptist Church, she was always ready to give a helping hand. Her passion in the church was the “Feed My Sheep” ministry, which provides food and other items for those in need. She loved to meet people and was always ready with a smile and a kind word, followed by a hug. Most of all, Linda loved her Lord Jesus. She is most likely making new friends in heaven and reconnecting with those friends and family that went before her. She will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a younger sister, Suzie; and three sons, John Jr., Richard, and Andrew.
She is survived by her husband Clyde; granddaughter, Heather Nee and husband Jason Nee; great-granddaughter, Malori Boyer; great-grandson, Korban Nee of Sulphur Springs; niece, Kimberlee Caldarone and husband Al Caldarone of Winters, California. Linda’s extended family includes stepdaughter, Anna Rilea and husband Rob Jowett; granddaughter, Matilda Golby of Bogalusa, Louisiana; stepson, Mitchel Rilea and wife Jacquelyn Rilea; granddaughter, Olivia Rilea; and grandson, Elijah Rilea of Vista, California. She also has two stepsons from a previous marriage, James Holden and Joseph Holden, both of Louisiana; and numerous other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be conducted at a date yet to be determined.
