Bettie Robinson

Services for Bettie Gene Leslie Robinson, 83, of Mesquite, are scheduled for 10 am, Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Oates Drive Baptist Church, Mesquite, with Bro. Jim Burt officiating, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.

Interment will follow in Pilgrim Rest #2 Cemetery, Golden.

Mrs. Robinson passed away Monday, June 12, 2023, at her residence in Mesquite. She was born July 6, 1939, in Dallas, to Frances Hawkins and raised by her grandparents, Anton and Bettie Mae Hennig. Bettie lived most of her life in Dallas County and was a member of Oates Drive Baptist Church, Mesquite. On January 17, 1958, she married Joe Kenneth Robinson in Rowlett. Bettie loved to cook, bake, crochet, and to sew. She was an amazing caregiver to her family and to many others. She was a Sunday School teacher and a faithful Christian woman. Bettie was preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Buster Hawkins; and husband of 53 years, Joe Kenneth Robinson.

Survivors include her two sons, Kenneth Robinson and wife Brenda of Rockwall and Aaron Robinson of Mesquite; daughter, Lori Robinson of Euless; brother, Harold Hawkins and wife Pam of Denton; two sisters, Barbara Ramirez of Palestine and Judy Oulett of Dallas; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ken Robinson, Aaron Robinson, Matt Houlihan, Tim Andries, Steve Skinner, and Mike Leech.

Memorials can be made to Oates Drive Baptist Church, 2805 Oates Dr., Mesquite, Texas, 75150.

The family will receive friends at 9 a.m., Saturday, at the church.
