Barbara Rodgers

Services for Barbara Kuykendall Rodgers, 81, of Forney, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Bartley Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Griffin officiating.

Interment will be in Creagleville Cemetery.

Ms. Rodgers passed away May 18, 2022, in Sunnyvale. She was born June 27, 1940, in Grand Saline, to Roland McCoy & Melissa Elnora Butler Kuykendall. Barbara was raised in Grand Saline, where she graduated from GSHS, Class of 1958. She had lived in the Dallas area before moving to Forney in 1992. She was a commercial casualty underwriter and was a 50-year member of the Roy Stanley Chapter of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Rodgers; nephew, Anthony Dale Kuykendall; and sister-in-law, Timmie Sue Kuykendall.

Survivors include her two brothers, Roland Dale Kuykendall of Forney, and Rocky Gene Kuykendall of Dallas; half-brother, Roland McCoy Kuykendall, Jr. of Canton; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Erik Kuykendall, Charles Kuykendall, Tanner Kuykendall, Tommy Taylor, Brian Duck, and Chris Sutton.
