Services for Mr. Johnny T. Rodgers, 77 of Mesquite, formerly of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 3 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. David Mills officiating.
Interment will be in Rodgers Cemetery.
Mr. Rodgers passed away February 13, 2013 in Mesquite. He was born April 19, 1935 in Grand Saline to Willie & Ethel Jenkins Rodgers. He spent his early years in Grand Saline and then the last 49 years in Mesquite. Mr. Rodgers served in the U.S. Army. He retired as a Supervisor after 33 years of service from Dallas Power and Light (TU Electric). He was a member of Berean Baptist Church in Mesquite. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Bob Rodgers, J. R. Rodgers and Bill Rodgers; and two sisters, Clota Kamman and Joann Rouse.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Jeanette Rodgers of Mesquite; three sons and daughters-in-law, Craig & Laura Rodgers of Wagoner, Todd & Melanie Rodgers of Forney and Toby Rodgers of Mesquite; two daughters, Jonette Rodgers of Dallas and Tracy Rodgers Ervin of Mesquite; nine grandchildren, Dr. Brian Rodgers, Eric Rodgers, Corey Ervin, John Morgan Rodgers, Kaylyn Kelbaugh, Caitlyn Ervin, Julia Rodgers, Jenna Rodgers and Sidney Rodgers; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Landon & Sharon Watson of Ore City and Jewel Rodgers of Mesquite; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Williams, Zach Sewell, Mike Lopez, Danny Rouse, Robbie Rouse and Andy Elms.

The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.
