Services for Herman Rohus, 82, of Edgewood, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Atkins and Bro. Randy Fisher officiating.
Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.
Mr. Rohus passed away July 12, 2015, in Grand Saline. He was born August 13, 1932, in Wills Point to Dwain & Dovie Welch Rohus. Herman was a member of New Horizons Assembly of God Church. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was at Ft. Hood from 1953-1955. Herman retired from LTV in Garland as a machinist after 27 years of service and from Texas Municipal Water Department in Garland after 11 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Raymond Rohus and Larry Rohus.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Ann Rohus of Edgewood; daughter, Linda Jean Lacy of Cedar Hill; four brothers, Michael Rohus of Edgewood, Paul Rohus of Pilot Point, Gerald Rohus of Ore City and Curtis Rohus of Edgewood; two sisters, Carol Ishmael of Mesquite and Velvet Rhoades of Forney; two grandsons, Brad Swoape and Brent Swoape; five great-grandchildren, Ryder, Roxy, Gregory, Julia and Austin Swoape; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Henry Baldwin, Doug Rhoades, Gary White and Kevin White.
The family will receive friends 1 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
