Services for Linda J. (Crew) Rucker, 77, of Golden, Texas, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline, with Chaplain Charles Kimble officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery, Grand Saline.
Linda passed away peacefully at her home in Golden, on May 15, 2025. She was born on December 23, 1947, in Marshall, to Ford E. and Madeline Naron Crew.
Linda spent her early years in Dallas and was a proud graduate of Bryan Adams High School, Class of 1966. That same year, on April 16, she married the love of her life, Jimmy Rucker. Linda was an office manager for Alamo Glass in Dallas for many years. Linda and Jimmy raised their son, Kevin, in Richardson before settling in Golden, where they made their home for the past 30 years.
Linda and Jimmy shared a passion for animals and spent many years raising Foundation Quarter Horses and miniature Australian Shepherds. Linda was also an avid fisherman, competing in Dallas Bass'n Gals tournaments and enjoying time on the water. Her creativity shone through in her exceptional talent for arts and crafts, which brought joy to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ford Crew, Jr., and Dale Crew; and her sister, Cathy Crew.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Rucker of Golden; son, Kevin Rucker of Ft. Worth; granddaughter, Shelby Rucker; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Linda will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, creative heart, and deep love for her family.
