Mary Rush

Funeral services for Mary Nell Rush, age 60, of Fruitvale, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2023, at Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline, with Bro. Homer Morgan officiating.

Mary passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023, in Tyler. She was born May 25, 1962, in Mineola, to the late Bobby and Barbara (McNeece) Lucas. Mary lived in Fruitvale for the last 20 years where she attended Roundflat Pentecostal Church and was previously of Lindale. She worked throughout her life as a housekeeper, the last 10 at Country Trails Wellness and Rehab Center in Grand Saline. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and stepdaughter, Teresa Badgett.

She is survived by her husband, David Rush of Fruitvale; 2 sons, Nicholas Lucas and wife, Nina of Grand Saline, and Joe Lucas of Fruitvale; 2 stepdaughters, Sandy Hale of Plano and Crystal Rush of Dallas; brother, Bobby Lucas Jr. of Lindale; sister, Lora Feil and husband, Pete of Lindale; 3 grandchildren, Caroline Badgett, Callie Badgett, and Sydney Girard; 3 great grandchildren, Jerry Dean Adams III, Jaycobi Adams, and Oakley Greeson.
