Sammy Lee Veach

Services for Sammy Lee Veach, 77, of Mineola, Texas, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, June 13, 2025, at Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline, with Bro. David Christine officiating.

Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Mr. Sammy Veach passed away on June 9, 2025, in Tyler. He was born on November 16, 1947, in Grand Saline to Bennie F. and Fay Louise Morris Veach.

Sammy grew up in Grand Saline and graduated from Grand Saline High School. He proudly served in the United States Army before building a career as an IT supervisor in Garland, where he lived for over 20 years. For the past 17 years, he made his home in Mineola.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his son, Devin Veach and wife Sandy Christine of North Richland Hills; daughter, Carla Veach of Grand Saline; and brother, Earnest Veach and wife Ruth of Grand Saline. He is also survived by one grandchild, Brandi Veach; two great-grandchildren, Jimmy and Jayden; step-grandchildren, Jessy and Chance; and nephews, Tony Veach and wife Brandy, Sean Veach and wife Lauri, and Chris Veach and wife Ashley.

Sammy leaves behind many beloved great-nieces and nephews: Josh and wife Brittany, Becky, Taylor and husband Austin, Jeanna Easley and husband Justin, Anna and fiancé Jonny, Robert, Bayden, and Hadley. He is also survived by his great-great-nieces and nephews: Gaige, Brodie, Carter, Arthur, and Orion.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Thursday, June 12, 2025, at the funeral home.
