Harold “Bud” Savage
Services for Mr. Harold “Bud” Savage, 86 of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Winskie officiating.
Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery.
Mr. Savage passed away May 19, 2013 at his home in Grand Saline. He was born January 27, 1926 in Van Zandt County to James Thomas & Minnie Hudson Savage. He attended Richland Heights Baptist Church and worked as a salesman in the meat packing industry. He was a huge Grand Saline Indian Football fan and also loved the Dallas Cowboys. He loved fishing and most of all he loved his grandchildren and other children. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, J.T. Savage, Jinkie Savage and Sam Savage; sisters, Ruby Ritchie/Brown and Oleta “T.Y.” Curnutt; grandson, Warren Ford Ferguson and son-in-law, Steve Davis.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Nita Savage of Grand Saline; two daughters and son-in-law, Gail Davis of Grand Saline, and Lynn & Rick Loughry of Carrollton; four grandchildren, Shane & June Davis; Ashley & Jef Beyer; Chip Ferguson and Neil Ferguson; six great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Scott & Drew Davis, Jeter and Jordan Beyer and Addison Loughry; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Old School Museum or the Grand Saline Public Library.
The family will receive friends 1 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
