Edna Sawyer

ALBA – Memorial services for Edna Earl Ward Sawyer, 76, of Alba, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth, under the direction of the family.
Cremation arrangements are under direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Ms. Sawyer passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017, at her residence in Alba.
She was born Saturday, October 5, 1940, in Haskell, to the late Elbert Earl and Nellie Belle Brittain Ward. Edna lived most of her life in the Fort Worth area and moved to Alba in 1989. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son, Paul Edward Askins, Jr. of Colorado; daughters, Zina Lee and husband Alan Campbell of Stockton, California, and Norma Jean Varela of Fort Worth; sister, Sharon Jennings of Saginaw; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Marcelina Ann Bissitt and Regina Kay Reedy; and brother, Richard Lee Ward.
There will be no public viewing.
