Services for Mrs. Delia Mae Schroeder, 91 of Kemp, are scheduled for 5 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2012 at Bartley Funeral Home with Benny Nowell and Rex Nowell officiating.
Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, TX.
Mrs. Schroeder passed away July 14, 2012 in Grand Saline. She was born August 27, 1920 in Mt. Pleasant to John & Virgie Maples Fleming. She spent most her life in Irving, 37 years in Kemp and the last 3 years in Grand Saline. She worked at Borden's Milk, El Producto Cigar Co, and Gibson's Department Store. She also was a volunteer and officer in the Seven Points VFW for many years. Mrs. Schroeder was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Richard Evans and John Schroeder Sr.; brother, Andrew Fleming; sister, Emma Lee Fleming Johnson; and nephew, Rufus Fleming.
Survivors include three step-sons, Monroe & Ruth Schroeder of Cedar Hill, John Andrew Schroeder Jr. and wife Sherry of Longview, Bobby Jo & Donna Schroeder of Kemp; nephews, Jack & Jerri Fleming of Grand Saline, John & Lou Ann Johnson of Mesa, AZ; niece, Margie & Pete Miller of Buena Vista, CO; numerous grandchildren; great nephews, nieces & other relatives and friends.
