Services for Jewell "Sam" Lorene Scott, 70, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at Bartley Funeral Home with Sis Delana Wheeler officiating.
Mrs. Scott passed away January 9, 2016, in Grand Saline. She was born December 3, 1945, in Grand Saline to Merlin McCoy & Ada Venes McKnight Harris. Sam was a lifelong resident of Grand Saline. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clarence Harris, Leonard Harris, Larry Harris, Troy Harris and Kenneth Harris; and sisters, Kathy Jones and Shirley Harris.
Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Kirby Scott Jr and Robert & Sandi Harris; two daughters and son-in-law, Judy Smith and Jackie & Bobby Thompson; two brothers, Terry Harris and Russell Harris; two sisters and brother-in-law, Deborah Owens and Dianne & Rickie Taylor; fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
