John Scott

Services for John Anthony Scott, 37, of Chandler, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, August 3, 2020, at Main Street Baptist Church, Grand Saline, with Richard Jones officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Woodside Cemetery, Grand Saline.

John passed away July 30, 2020. He was born July 23, 1983, in Odessa. He spent his early years in Grand Saline and had lived the past ten years in Tyler. John was a member of 2002 graduating class of Grand Saline High School and a member of Main Street Baptist Church. He worked for Colley Water Industries as a project manager in Odessa. John was a great dad, a good friend, and an unbelievable brother and son. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Joyce Scott, Irlene and Wayne Lahman, and John Gandy.

Survivors include his mother, Gale Jones and husband Richard of Chandler; father, David Scott of Tyler; daughter, Eva Scott of Tyler; two brothers, Christopher Scott of Austin and Andy Scott and wife Julie of Tyler; sister-in-law, Brandi Scott of Austin; seven nieces and nephews, Drew Scott, Peyton Scott, Addie Scott, Tori Scott, Krissy Scott, Nick Scott, and Trinity Scott; mother of Eva, Courtney Scott of Tyler; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Andy Scott, Travis Clifford, Carlos Fabian, Brandon Means, Nick Scott, Joey Taylor, Clint Hamessley, and Clay Hamessley.

Honorary Pallbearers are Ricky LaPrade and Landon Lovett.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
