Les Scott

Graveside services for Les "Pop" Scott, 70, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at Starr Cemetery, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Mr. Scott passed away August 12, 2017, in Grand Saline. He was born February 15, 1947, in Grand Saline, to Lesley Taylor & Vida A. Harris Scott. He lived all of his life in Grand Saline, was Pentecostal, and worked building houses all over East Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Janis Scott, Peggy Copeland and Mildred Clark; brother, Wayne Scott; and one great-grandson, Myka Scott.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Betty Rush Scott of Grand Saline; three sons, Dicky Scott and wife Laura, David Scott and wife Pat, and Michael Scott and wife Rose, all of Grand Saline; daughter, Amy Hamblen and husband Ron of Grand Saline; brother, Edward Scott and wife Brenda of Grand Saline; ten grandchildren and their spouses, PeeWee & Alicia Scott, David "Bubba" & April Scott, Chris & Becca Scott, Josh & Gina Rush, Emily & LouLou Scott, Michael Scott, Ashley & Donny Jones, Amber & Chad Morphis, Les & Katelyn Hamblen, and Annisha & Matt Self; twenty four great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be his sons and grandsons.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
