Robert Seely

Mr. Robert Henry Seely, 75, of Grand Saline, passed away August 22, 2021, in Dallas. He was born January 3, 1946, in Asheville, NC, to Theodore & Jean English Seely. Robert was raised in North Carolina, moved to Dallas in his 20’s and spent most of his adult life there. He and late wife Nevia moved to Grand Saline in 2002. Robert enjoyed “junkin”, known to dumpster dive and collect scrap metal. He was known as “Pop” to all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nevia Hickman Seely; grandchild, Brian Seely; and great-grandchild, Dakota Jacobs.

Survivors include his son, Gerald Jacobs and wife Pam of Grand Saline; three daughters, Rebecca Seely & Mike Morgan of Grand Saline, Robin Long and husband Doug of Red Oak, and Rhonda Blackwell of Irving; brother, Langdon Seely of Brevard, NC; twelve grandchildren, Crystal Jacobs, Jennifer Jacobs, Amanda Blackwell, Robert Allen Jacobs, Jason Jacobs, Gerald Wayne Thomas Jacobs, Lance Brown, Aaron Long, Keith Jordan Long, Brant Thayer, Mykenzie Thayer, and Nevia Thayer; nineteen great-grandchildren and one on the way; two great-great-grandchildren; Brant, Mykenzie and Nevia’s dad, Benjamin Thayer of Grand Saline; and numerous other relatives and friends.
